Memorial Day 2015

I can't believe I'm this old. who would have thought we'd live to see 2015. our family tradition was to walk the three blocks to the cemetery and clean up the tomb stone and place new flowers on the grave. a lot of my friends are up at this cemetery, but the rest are scattered around the state and other states. about 2 years ago, I decided to get a pre-paid funeral. I did this, due to me being the last in my family. there aint nobody else to deal with it.
so, being the one in the family who "does stuff" nobody else wants to do, I've planed to have my brother, and mom and me, interned into one lot. we will be cremated, so it's no huge lot. kind of nice if you think of it. the family name with just about the whole family in one place. once upon a time, I wouldn't dare talk about this stuff. too morose and gloomy. I think of it as necessary and somebody needs to do it.

and, I get to design the wording and the style of the tombstone. picture alice cooper with a snake draped over his shoulder. catchy huh.. think folks would notice??

ok, enough non-sense. today is the day we remember all those brave, self- sacrificing, altruistic people who gave of themselves, so we would still have this great country. God Bless you all.

Thank you.
