ah....this is certainly Samoyed weather!

Blowing snow, freezing temps...Where's the leash ? I want to go for a walk! Well, that's what it was like when I had Yogi the dog, a rescue Samoyed dog. That's his photo up there. Yes, I said, rescue pooch. His original family were getting a divorce, their kids were off to college, so they were going to put him to sleep. Yes, that dog you see in that photo above. I got him and had him for just over 6 years. we'd walk in all kinds of weather, rain, snow. but no hail. it would stick to his coat. Yes, I would always towel him dry and then hug him. Samoyed dogs are like that. just about all of my Samoyed dogs were rescued dogs. I think I must have sheltered about 5 or 7 of these fur babies. ( that's what other folks involved in Samoyed rescue called them)
I went so far in meeting their needs as to installing a wheel chair ramp on the back porch so it would be easier on their hips. But they're all at the Rainbow bridge now. pain free and with owners who care....

Now, I have this fur ball called scooter the cat. It is just within the last 10 days that he has started climbing up onto my lap and laying out and actually going to sleep. For my part, I try not to move.
Life is good.

Thank you God.

I'm off.
