I decided, what with a hard frost warning for tonight, to drain the garden hose and put it in the basement. Easy said. But with the temp around 31 degrees, and the water icy cold, it was a long day. I had to make two trips outside. Finally, after discovering that a thick hose just isn't that pliable in cold weather, to just haul it inside and throw it in the basement. Ha ha ha. another great idea behind its' time. at least I know I won't have to replace a heavy duty construction garden hose next spring.
back to watching the snow fall. kind of early, but i guess it's practicing for winter? I still haven't heard from my pal. he should be in Iowa by now. His son, who is a glass blower, has some heavy stuff to move and pa, is just the one to do it.
