It's Labor Day weekend. I'm remembering ZTV. Leo LaPort's old show and network.

Labor Day weekend will always remind me of volunteering the whole weekend, plus Friday afternoon, to setting up and operating "Operation Care Coffee Stop". Our club, and many others, provided free coffee and treats to the traveling motorist who would be headed either going up north, or at the end of the holiday weekend, headed south. Ah, sitting in a trailer, with wind gusts of 40 miles per hour, temperature of 49 degrees and rain blowing in your face!  Ah, I really miss that!  Now days, I think some folks are still operating Operation Care, but I'm not sure where. We sure did meet a lot of interesting people. Michigan truly is a great state!
