Armistice Day

Armistice Day (which coincides with Remembrance Day and Veterans Day, public holidays) is commemorated every year on 11 November to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I,...from winpekia.

I remember how sad my grand father would become on that day. he was born on 1898 or so. I remember seeing our vegetable truck driver ( yes, we had fresh vegetables delivered to our door) who from time to time, had problems with shell shock. FROM THE GREAT WAR. My Grand father knew folks who had been in that war. strange, we're at peace, yet the nightmares continual for so many. with no end in sight. and they are in their 90's by now.
